Supporters of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has protested against his detention, gathering near the British Council in Dhaka, Bangladesh, April 23, 2019.
Assange was arrested on April 11, 2019, by the British police for breaching his bail conditions in 2012 by seeking refuge in Ecuador’s London embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden.
He is now fighting a US extradition warrant in connection with the release by WikiLeaks of a huge volume of secret official documents.
